The Dr KDSS B.O.T.C.K. (Bolt-On Track Bar Correction Kit) is designed to correct rear axle instability caused by lifting a solid-axle 3rd gen 4Runner. When the track (panhard) bar angle becomes too steep, the axle is forced to swing side-to-side instead of cycling straight up and down—resulting in an unstable, sketchy rear end. This kit raises the pivot point to flatten the track bar angle, restoring proper axle movement and predictable handling. It’s a true bolt-on solution built for strength, serviceability, and real-world use—no welding required. Now available in multiple powder-coated color options.
Important Note
Torque: Updated torque spec is 105 ft-lb on all bolts; use plenty of blue Loctite.
Read first: Do not buy parts you don’t need—understand what this kit does and why before purchasing.
Returns: Review and understand the return and restock fee policy prior to checkout.
Tools: Installation requires drilling one hole; a drill, drill bits, and a rivet nut tool are recommended.
Fulfillment: In some cases, please allow 36–48 hours for order processing.
Lift range: Designed for 3rd gen 4Runner with 1.5”–3”+ of lift.
Measurement: Proper fitment depends on measuring track bar bolt height differences.
Color Disclaimer:Photos of King Blue, Red, and Black are for color reference only. Actual bracket design may vary and will be specific to the 3rd gen 4Runner.
How to Know If You Need It
Frame side: On level ground, measure from the ground to the center of the frame-side track bar bolt.
Axle side: Measure from the ground to the center of the axle-side track bar bolt.
Difference: Subtract the two measurements to determine bolt-height difference.
Bottom hole: Use the bottom mounting hole if the difference is 1.5”–2.99”.
Top hole: Use the top mounting hole if the difference is 3” or greater.
Why It Matters
Track bar angle: Lifting a solid axle steepens the track bar angle.
Axle movement: A steep angle forces the axle to swing side-to-side instead of cycling vertically.
Handling: This lateral movement creates instability and unpredictable handling.
Correction: Raising the pivot point flattens the bar and restores natural suspension movement.
Why This Kit Is Different
Market gap: Most Toyota/Lexus options are weld-on brackets requiring fabrication.
Accessibility: Not everyone has access to a welder or a qualified fabricator.
Design: This bolt-on kit wraps around the OEM mount to distribute load evenly.
Strength: Load is spread across the entire mount, not concentrated at weld points.
Serviceability: Easily installed or removed; optional spot welds can be added if desired.
