All CMR kits ship with updated hardware that eliminates the noise issue many Tacoma owners have experienced. While competitors still have not solved this problem in their kits, DRT took the extra step to engineer a permanent solution.
Why the Update Was Needed
Some customers reported noise caused by the bottom bushing washer contacting the inside of the tube. Instead of ignoring it, we redesigned the hardware with custom laser-cut washers that stop the interference and ensure quiet operation.
What’s Included
- (2) ½” × 5” Grade 8 bolts
- (2) ½” Nylock nuts
- (4) Large ½” washers
- (2) Custom bushing washers
Superior Washer Design
The custom bushing washers are CNC laser-cut from ⅛” steel and yellow zinc coated to match the rest of the hardware. This upgrade prevents contact inside the tube, eliminates noise, and ensures a secure, long-lasting fit—something other kits on the market still don’t offer.
