Take your FJ Cruiser to the next level with the Expedition Series 3rd Brake Light from TEQ Customs. Designed, tested and engineered fully in house, the Expedition Series brake lights are designed to provide superior output and unmatched modularity.
The Expedition Series housings are designed to support 4 KC Cyclone lights, 2 of which are intended to be brake lights and 2 of which are intended to be uses as reverse lights. 2 Red and 2 White lenses are included with the kit standard, but additional colored lenses can be purchased from KC for about $5 a piece if you wish to change out the colors.
The Expedition Series Mount Includes;
- 1x Expedition Series Brake Light Housing
- Your choice of camera mount, or no camera mount.
- Hardware to install the KC lights and Brake Light Housing
The Expedition Series Brake Light includes a modular top plate with mounts for rear view cameras. The two camera options currently offered are;
- A standard rear view camera with a standard AV Plug, compatible with most aftermarket radio head units. The standard camera mount can be purchased with or without the camera. It will fit any 18.5mm Camera.
- A Wolfbox Rear Camera Mount, compatible with multiple styles of Wolfbox cameras. Camera not included.
Additionally, we also offer a mounting solution for a Midland GRMS Ghost Antenna, or other lightweight antennas that use a New Motorola (NMO) mounting base. The mount can be used on either side of the camera.
Note: We will not cover any damage to the brake light housing as a result of installing large, heavy antennas. Only use the Midland Ghost antenna or another antenna of similar size and weight.
Camera and Antenna mounts can be added, removed, or changed at any time.
Additional mounts will be added at a later date.
Kits with KC Lights will include;
Kits with KC Lights will include wiring harnesses.
- 1x harness to connect 2 KC lights to the factory brake light plug
- 1x harness to connect the two center KC lights to the reverse lights with Posi-Taps. Posi Taps are exteremely easy to use and fully insulated. Check out this video here for a overview!
The two reverse lights can also be wired to a switch. The wiring for this is not included.
MXT275VP4 15W Watt GMRS Two-Way Radio Bundle
The Midland Radio Bundle can be added on, which includes a 15 Watt MXT275 GRMS Radio, the Midland Ghost Antenna, and wiring. This is a complete GRMS radio bundle, ready to be installed in your FJ.
