The V2 Stealth Shift Knob from MESO Customs is a TRD Pro–style replacement shift knob—with a hidden upgrade that completely changes how you interact with your Tacoma. At first glance, it looks OEM+. Look closer, and you’ll find two discreet activation buttons built directly into the left and right sides of the knob.
On 2016+ Toyota Tacomas, the factory ECT (Electronically Controlled Transmission) button is located on the lower dash. When activated, ECT mode delivers more responsive shifting and throttle behavior. The V2 Stealth Knob relocates that ECT control directly to the palm of your hand, making it faster, easier, and more intuitive to use—especially while driving.
By moving the ECT function off the dash, you also free up the original ECT button location for an aftermarket switch or accessory, giving you more flexibility in your interior setup.

Installation overview
- Thread the V2 Stealth Knob onto the shifter
- Route the included wire extension to the lower dash
- Unplug the factory ECT connector
- Plug into the included harness
- Choose left or right button for ECT control
The second button remains available for auxiliary use.
