This version of the Accessport also supports TCM flashing for automatic transmission (AT) vehicles, allowing you to customize shift behavior and torque management to match your driving style.

Important notes

• Automatic transmission support: Includes OTS TCM maps for shift points, firmness, skip-shift behavior, and torque limits
• Manual transmission support: MT Tacoma vehicles are supported, but OTS maps are not currently available
• MT tuning requirement: Manual transmission vehicles require custom tuning through a COBB Protuner
• Gateway bypass harness included: Required for initial installation, unsupported ROM reads, or flash recovery
• Harness limitation: Not required for map changes or uninstalling the Accessport
• Software warning: Installing over non-OEM or non-COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure

Gateway bypass harness overview

The included Gateway Bypass Harness connects to the Tacoma’s OBD-II port, gateway connector, and the Accessport. It enables ECU communication in scenarios where flashing would otherwise be blocked, such as first-time installation, unsupported ROM extraction, or recovery from a failed flash. Installation instructions are provided by COBB.
