The Injection Fob is a two-piece replacement case designed to upgrade the weak factory shell. Made for 5th Gen 4Runners without push-button start and various other Toyota applications, this fob is injection-molded from high-strength, impact-resistant ABS (black versions use PC-ABS). Instead of the OEM snap-fit, this design bolts together with socket-head cap screws for a tougher, more secure assembly. Includes a 7/64" Allen key. Made in the USA.
Important Notes
No Threadlocker: DO NOT use Loctite or any threadlocker on this product.
OEM Components Required: Key blade, electronics, battery, and transponder chip must be reused (not included).
OEM Case Must Be Cut: The factory key is molded into the OEM housing and must be cut out for removal.
No Reprogramming Needed: OEM internals transfer directly into the new case.
Optional Key Alternative: You may use the OEM valet key or purchase a Toyota G-chip key (P/N 89785-08040) to be cut and programmed.
Transponder Removal Risk: Some chips are glued in place; damage will prevent the vehicle from starting
