Transform your empty trailer hitch receiver into something functional! Introducing the HitchPod. A universal rear light pod housing that will fit any 2" trailer receiver. Designed to hold a Baja Designs S1(sold separately). Configuration is up to the end user, but some examples are a brighter reverse light, Amber chase light, or even an auxiliary work light. Injection molded out of high strength ABS and made in USA.
What’s in the box
MESO Customs HitchPod: The main housing designed to mount securely inside your trailer hitch receiver.
What’s not included
Baja Designs S1: Light must be purchased separately.
Hitch Pin: Strongly recommended to use a locking hitch pin, but no specific model can be recommended at this time.
Drill Bit: Size depends on the hitch pin diameter. Most hitch pins are 5/8", but verify yours first.
Installation
Insert the HitchPod: Slide the HitchPod (with the light removed) into your trailer hitch receiver.
Mark Pin Locations: Use a sharpie to mark the side pin holes.
The HitchPods are not pre-drilled because hitch pin depths vary between vehicles — drilling after test-fit ensures a perfect flush mount.
Drill Both Sides: Use the correct drill bit size to match your hitch pin diameter.
Recommended: A step drill bit for cleaner hole sizing.
Install the Baja S1 Light: Mount your light using the provided Allen screws.
Wire the Light: Wiring is left to the customer so you can choose your preferred function (e.g., brake, reverse, chase, etc.).
